Youth and Teen Services
Throughout the year, we have a variety of programs for children and teens, the biggest, of course, is the 6-week long Summer Reading Club. We also try to have "Game Night" a couple of times a year for Grades 7-High School. Our teen panel, made up of high school students, who help out during the year with a variety of projects, the biggest being the Jerseyville Halloween Festival.
We have implemented a Homebound Program for those who enjoy reading, but are unable to make the trip to the Library. This service offers all the materials of the library including regular and large print books, periodicals, audio books, videos/dvds, and music CDs and cassettes.
For more information or to set up an appointment, please contact Laurie Ingram here at the Library at 618-498-9514 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Community Spaces (Meeting Room) in the Library
The Jerseyville Public Library's meeting room is available for meetings, classes, parties and other functions. It has a separate entrance, tables and chairs, is handicap accessible, and offers access to the kitchen and rest rooms. Civic, educational and not-for-profit groups may use the meeting room free of charge during Library hours; fees are charged to other groups and for after-hours use. Currently, not-for-profit groups pay $10.00/hour for after-hours use. Other for-profit groups would pay $20.00/hour during or after library hours.
