![]() The Jersey County Historical Society is a non-profit organization, located in beautiful southwestern Illinois, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing historical artifacts, records and family genealogies from Jersey County’s rich past. Its three-acre site includes the Cheney Mansion, Lone Star School, McAdams and Plummer log cabins and Union Forest Church, as well as a genealogy research center and a museum that includes a transportation room, seven domestic rooms, a brides' room, and a military room. The Flautt Addition of our museum houses many interesting artifacts and collections, including an extensive collection of Native American relics and a mammoth bone and tooth. |
