Author/Local Historian Visit - John J. Dunphy

Come to the library for an evening with author/local historian and poet, John J. Dunphy. Mr. Dunphy is a summa cum laude graduate of SIUE and has taught writing at Lewis and Clark Community College. He has also conducted numerous writers' workshops. He has written several books about local history and has two poetry collections published. He also writes a weekly column for The Telegraph and owns the Second Reading Book Shop in Alton, the location of which served as an Underground Railroad station.
